They do 3D printing as well (plastic and metal). ### Custom Plastics Fabrication The covers for the HMD Current Controller were made by [Custom Plastic Fabrication](https://customplasticfabrication.com.au). They were good to deal with though it did require several trips out to Tingalpa to try and get modifications approved quickly. ### Komacut The baseplate for the [[1 Phase Large Variac]] was made by [Komacut](http://www.komacut.com/). They are based in China. The part was designed in [Shapr3D](https://www.shapr3d.com), exported as a STEP file and uploaded to their site. They charged $75 USD and the parts took about 3 weeks to arrive. ### Ponoko In the past we have used [Ponoko](https://www.ponoko.com) for laser cutting plastics. They used to be based in NZ but had expanded to have manufacturing capabilities around the world (including AUS). They have a much wider range of available materials now and also appear to be able to handle sheet metal bending as well. It is probably worth investigating them again. ### Queensland Gaskets Lachlan used [Queensland Gaskets](https://queenslandgaskets.com.au) to manufacture a range of insulating sheets for the KPS inverters. He was able to source the original design files from the manufacturer.
